In many parts of the world, including Uganda, girls often face challenges that put their education and dreams at risk. But education is a powerful equalizer. When it’s accessible, inclusive, and comprehensive, it can transform lives, communities, and entire generations.

At Foundation for Youth Empowerment (FOYE), we understand that formal academic education alone isn’t always enough, especially for young women from vulnerable backgrounds. That’s why we focus on holistic empowerment programs, incorporating hands-on skills and vocational training.

These programs empower girls who haven’t had the opportunity to complete formal schooling or enter the workforce. We help them rediscover their potential. For us, this isn’t just about creating job opportunities; it’s about giving these young women a second chance to achieve their dreams, become financially independent, and lead change in their communities.

Empowering a Brighter Future:

Since 2020, FOYE has equipped 500 youth of which 70% are girls with vital hands-on skills. We’ve catalyzed the creation of 80 jobs and incubated 25 thriving businesses. Behind each statistic is a young person who has overcome adversity and is redefining their future. These numbers represent more than just progress; they represent hope, resilience, and the power of opportunity.

We believe that investing in girls’ education is not just a matter of social justice, it’s a smart investment in the future. When girls are educated, they are more likely to:
